21st Austria weekly - Vienna Airport (14/05/2026)

Vienna Airport Group: The Flughafen Wien Group (Vienna Airport, Malta Airport and Kosice Airport) showed a slight YOY decline of 2.1% to 3,675,425 passengers in the month of April 2026. As expected, the number of passengers handled by Vienna Airport fell by 8.2% to 2,578,674 travellers. This decline can be attributed to the fact that Easter 2026 already took place in March as well as to the reduction of low-cost carrier capacities and the reduced flight offering related to the crisis in the Middle East. In contrast, passenger volume at Malta Airport showed a significant increase in April 2026 to 1,017,570 travellers (+13.5%) and Kosice Airport reported strong growth of 66.5% to 79,181 passengers.
