Andritz: Andritz presented its second-quarter 2026 financial results on July 30, 2026, showcasing accelerating revenue growth, improved profitability, and a record order backlog. Revenue reached €2.1 billion in Q2 2026, representing 8% growth compared to the same period in 2025. More significantly, comparable EBITA increased 15% to €182 million, with the margin expanding 50 basis points to 8.9% from 8.4% in the prior-year quarter. This margin expansion reflects improved project execution, the phasing out of low-margin legacy projects particularly in the Hydropower segment, and ongoing restructuring benefits. Net income for the quarter totaled €109 million, up 7% year-over-year, while the net income margin remained relatively stable at 5.3%. The order backlog reached a record €12.6 billion, up 21% from Q2 2025, providing strong revenue visibility for future periods.

Verbund: VERBUND’s results for quarters 1–2/2026 saw a marked year-on-year decline due to poor water supply and falling sales prices. EBITDA fell by 24.9% year-on-year to €1,061.5m. Erste Group: Erste Group reported a net profit increase to €2.0 billion in the first half of the year (including Erste Bank Polska and one-off effects), representing a rise of 18.6 percent (H1 2025: €1.7 billion). Despite the effects of the initial consolidation of its Polish subsidiary, Central Europe remained the clear driver of the Group's earnings, contributing two-thirds of the total net profit. Operating income rose by 4 percent to €7,959 million, with Poland's share amounting to €1,821 million. Impairment losses on financial instruments totaled €-583 million (compared to €-182 million in the same period of the previous year). According to Erste Group, this increase was primarily due to allocations to loan loss provisions in accordance with IFRS 9 for the initial inclusion of the Polish portfolio. The non-performing loan (NPL) ratio improved slightly to 2.3 percent (2.4 percent). Customer loans rose by 21.9 percent to €282.7 billion (vs. €232.0 billion), primarily due to the Polish portfolio amounting to €41.4 billion. Increases were also recorded in the other core markets, particularly in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia, and Austria.
