Uniqa: UNIQA Insurance Group has presented figures for the first quarter showing growth in premiums written of 13.2 percent to €2,472.5 million (January - March 2024: €2,184.3 million). "Together with an excellent underwriting result – our combined ratio after reinsurance fell to 88.2 percent – ​​the strong growth of 13.2 percent more than compensated for the turbulence on the capital markets resulting from the tariff conflict triggered by the US and the related weaker financial result," commented UNIQA CEO Andreas Brandstetter. The Uniqa Group's insurance revenue rose by 10.3 percent to EUR 1,751.2 million in the first quarter of 2025 (1-3/2024: EUR 1,587.9 million). According to Uniqa, the investment result fell to EUR 108.8 million in the first three months of 2025 due to turbulence on the international financial markets (1-3/2024: EUR 237.5 million). The Uniqa Group's profit before taxes improved by 4.1 percent to EUR 151.1 million (1-3/2024: EUR 145.1 million). Consolidated net income (after taxes and minority interests) increased by 10.9 percent to EUR 118.6 million (1 – 3/2024: EUR 106.9 million).
