Mayr-Melnhof: Mayr-Melnhof Group has agreed to acquire International Paper (Poland) Holding sp. z.o.o. ("Kwidzyn") from International Paper for a debt and cash free amount of around Euro 670 mn and additionally assuming ca. Euro 33 mn of usufruct and operating lease liabilities according to IFRS treatment. The acquisition of Kwidzyn forms part of MM's strategy to grow in high quality virgin fiber based cartonboard with innovative, sustainable and cost effective FBB grades. The transaction will be immediately earnings accretive. The cash payment will be funded from committed bank credit lines and the issuance of a Schuldschein. At its integrated pulp and paper site in Poland, Kwidzyn operates a pulp mill with an annual capacity of 400,000 t and four integrated cartonboard / paper machines: About 2,300 people are working at the mill. In 2020 it generated an Adjusted EBITDA of ca. Euro 92 mn on sales of ca. Euro 510 mm.

Vienna Airport: The aviation sector continues to be severely afflicted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In the month of January 2021, passenger volume in the Flughafen Wien Group (Vienna Airport, Malta Airport and Kosice Airport) amounted to 240,118 travellers, comprising a year-on-year decline of 90.5% from the level of January 2020. Vienna Airport registered a drop of 90.5% to 198,295 passengers.

Kapsch TrafficCom: Kapsch TrafficCom, provider of transportation solutions, was awarded a framework contract by APRR regarding the supply, implementation and technical operations of MLFF tolling systems. This will improve traffic flow and decrease the environmental impact on the RCEA highway, Kapsch TrafficCom stated. APRR, highway concessionaire of the Eiffage Group, is the second largest French concessionaire operating around 2,300 kilometers of highway. Employing 3,500 people, APRR manages a yearly turnover of around 2.4 billion euros.
