Andritz: International technology group Andritz has received an order to supply a complete PrimeLineCOMPACT S 1300 tissue machine with stock preparation system to Xuong Giang Paper Mill, Vietnam, a subsidiary company of Bac Giang Import Export JSC. The new line has a design capacity of 54 tons/d, a design speed of 1,300 m/min and a paper width of 2.85 meters. It will process virgin pulp as raw material to produce high-quality facial and toilet tissue as well as napkins. Start-up is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2020.

Wolford: The buyer of the company property in Bregenz, the neighboring Blum Group, transferred the agreed purchase price of approximately 72 mn to skinwear producer Wolford AG. At the same time Wolford repaid all credit lines to its financing banks. Simultaneously, the company repaid the shareholder loan including interests granted by Wolford’s main shareholder Fosun Fashion Investment Holdings (HK) Limited. “This means that our company is now debt-free and also has sufficient funds available to overcome the current crisis and drive forward the further development of the company as planned,” states Wolford Executive Board member Andrew Thorndike. Regarding the consequences of the corona crisis, the Executive Board and management of the Wolford AG expect noticeably negative consequences for the development of sales and earnings of the Wolford Group. The successful sale of the property will be reflected in the financial statements of Wolford AG for the 2020/21 fiscal year as non-recurring income in the form of a book profit of approximately Euro 49 mn.

Vienna Stock Exchange: Vienna Stock Exchange revenues amounted to Euro 66.8 mn in 2019, a slight decrease of 3.3% (2018: Euro 68.9 mn), which was primarily due to the declining activity of trading participants. The reallocation of funds to North America and the uncertainties caused by the Brexit caused international investors to act more cautiously. Revenues in IT services developed very positively. Growth was also achieved in data business, listing, trading of foreign securities and custody services. The continued diversification thus almost completely compensated for the decline in earnings from trading. Costs and expenses were reduced by simplifying the group structure. Wiener Boerse AG generated a profit before taxes of Euro 34.19 mn in 2019. This is 6.4% down on the previous year (Euro 36.52 mn). The result is slightly better than the planning for 2019, which included some investments as well as accounted for a more restrained trading activity of the market participants. For 2020, significant growth is expected so far. In the spring of 2020, both trading turnover and price fluctuations rose sharply. From the beginning of the year up to and including May 2020, equity trading volumes amounted to Euro 32.03 bn, a year-on-year increase of 21.4% (Jan-May 2019: Euro 26.38 bn).
