UBM: UBM Development, the leading hotel developer in Europe sold three projects under development at the end of 2019, almost two years before completion: two hotels in Poland, the Mercure Mlynska in Katowice and the ibis Styles Mogilska in Krakow, were sold to Union Investment. The third transaction involved the global sale of the barany.7 residential project in Vienna to Buwog. The proceeds from the sale of these three projects total Euro 120 mn. The extent of the record year 2019 is becoming increasingly clear. The turn of the year brought a series of successful transactions – in December, three properties with a combined value of approximately Euro 120 mn were sold. “In the residential sector, the trend towards global sales has now also reached Austria. Our hotel business is almost beginning to resemble a factory“, comments Thomas G. Winkler, CEO of UBM Development.

Pierer Mobility: In the business year 2019 Pierer Mobility Group sold 280,099 motorcycles under the brands KTM and Husqvarner nd achieved the 9th record year in a row. The sales volume increased by about 7% compared to the previous year. During 2020 following the antitrust authorities' approval for the Joint Venture with Gasgas Motorcycles - which was granted in December 2019 - the Gasgas motorcycle division in Girona, Spain, will be integrated as the third brand of the group. The company intends a further admission of its shares for trading in the General Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in order to increase the trading liquidity of the shares in the euro zone. After the listing in the regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange has been completed - which is planned for the first quarter of 2020 - the end of the listing of the shares in Official Market (Amtlicher Handel) of the Vienna Stock Exchange is sought. The primary listing on the SIX Swiss Exchange will remain unchanged.

ams: ams, a leading worldwide supplier of high performance sensor solutions, introduces the CMOS Global Shutter Sensor (CGSS) Near Infrared (NIR) image sensor CGSS130, complementing ams’ recently announced 3D system. The CGSS130 enables 3D optical sensing applications such as face recognition, payment authentication and more to operate at much lower power than alternative implementations. This means that battery-powered devices can run longer between charges – a key differentiator for OEMs – while supporting more sophisticated sensor functions.

Sanochemia: Alvetra u. Werfft GmbH, a company of Austrian based Sanochemia Pharmazeutika, has filed for bankruptcy at the Vienna Commercial Court. According to the Alpenländischer Kreditorenverband, Alvetra u. Werfft currently employs 3 people; According to the information, the liabilities are estimated at around Euro 800,000, 30 creditors are affected. The company was founded in 1992 and has been active in the field of animal health and animal nutrition. Sanochemia Pharmaceutica AG has been the sole shareholder of the applicant since 2011. There were already sales losses in the 2018/2019 financial year and the applicant subsequently sought to merge with Sanochemia Pharmaceutica AG. However, a reorganization procedure was opened at the Vienna Commercial Court for Sanochemia on December 16, 2019, so that the intended merger had to be omitted.
