In a challenging economic environment characterized by the war in Ukraine, massively impacted supply chains, supply bottlenecks for electronic components and truck chassis, as well as enormous cost increases, the global technology and engineering company recorded an all-time high in revenues of EUR 2.23 billion and the company’s second-best operating result of EUR 150.4 million.

Uniqa: In the financial year now ended, Uniqa Insurance Group generated earnings before taxes of €421.7 million, an increase of 10.3 per cent. Premiums written by the UNIQA Group rose by 3.9 per cent to €6,605.0 million in 2022. “In an extraordinary year shaped by Russia’s attack on Ukraine, skyrocketing energy prices and high inflation, our core business once again proved to be crisis-resistant,” says Andreas Brandstetter, CEO of the Uniqa Insurance Group.

Andritz: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Nashville District awarded international technology group Andritz a contract for rehabilitation of the turbines and generators at the Old Hickory hydroelectric power plant. The 162 MW power plant is located on the Cumberland River in Central Tennessee near the town of Hendersonville. Once fully commissioned, power generation is estimated to be about 565 GWh per year. Commissioning of the first unit is expected in August 2026.
