Austrian Post: Austrian Post AG recently completed a trial run with autonomous industrial trucks at its Vienna parcel logistics center. The first autonomous vehicles will be rolled out into regular operation next year. Peter Umundum, Deputy Director General and Board Member for Parcel & Logistics at Austrian Post AG, stated: “While parcel delivery by drones or robots is often little more than good advertising, the real leverage for efficiency gains lies in the automated transport of large volumes of shipments. At the Vienna logistics center, we demonstrated through a proof of concept that autonomous industrial trucks function effectively in everyday operations and provide meaningful relief and support to our employees in their work.”

BKS: BKS Bank has successfully completed its second EMAS recertification. BKS Bank first committed to this in 2019 and has held the certification since then. "The environmental management system has established itself as a central control instrument for environmental and energy efficiency measures within our organization. It makes a significant contribution to identifying potential improvements, optimizing processes, and continuously increasing our environmental performance year after year," said Nikolaus Juhász, CEO of BKS Bank. As a result, BKS Bank's corporate carbon footprint in Austria was reduced by 10 percent in 2024 compared to the previous year, to 1,235 tons of CO2 equivalents. Since data collection began in 2012, emissions have been reduced by a total of 49 percent.
