Varta: The German battery maker Varta AG, a division of Montana Tech Components AG, owned by Austrian Investor Michael Tojner, announced that it needs to update its restructuring plan due to worsened economic and demand situation. According to the company, difficult-to-predict order volumes from customers, an unexpected decline in demand for energy storage solutions as well as supply-chain issues and pricing pressure from competitors are the reasons to reevaluate the restructuring program. The assumptions made under the existing programme are no longer appropriate to help it return to profitable growth by the end of 2026, Varta said.
