Verbund: Austrian utility company Verbund announced the acquisition of a 56.4 MW wind portfolio in Germany’s federal states of Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony. The seller is an infrastructure fund managed by Impax Asset Management. The wind portfolio comprises five operational wind farms with a total capacity of 38.4 MW (Oedelum, Quelkhorn, Mariengarten, Münster and Frielendorf Süd) as well as a 18 MW wind project in Feldatal that is planned to come on stream in quarter 3/2024. Verbund will only take over the project under construction after commissioning. In total the acquisition consists of 14 wind turbines manufactured by Enercon, General Electric and Vestas. All of the wind power installations are subject to an EEG regime (EEG 2014, 2017 and 2021) and will benefit from a feed-in tariff for 20 years after being put into operation. It is possible to opt out of the feed-in tariff for all of the installations. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Verbund: weekly performance: 2.10%

AMAG: AMAG Group’s revenues clearly exceeded the EUR 1 billion level in the first three quarters of 2023 at EUR 1,142.8 million (Q1-Q3/2022: EUR 1,353.9 million). Compared with the previous year, the lower aluminium price and especially the reduction in shipments of aluminium rolled products had a noticeable impact. AMAG Group’s total shipments amounted to 327,700 tonnes (Q1-Q3/2022: 341,500 tonnes). Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) amounted to EUR 166.0 million in the period under review, compared with EUR 217.4 million in the prior-year period. The Metal Division continued to benefit from stable production levels at the interest held in Canada’s Alouette smelter, given lower aluminium prices overall. In the Casting Division, the continued stable market environment in the automotive industry was leveraged to best effect. In the Rolling Division, the market-related decrease in demand from the mentioned industries was optimally offset thanks to the high level of sector and product diversity. Net income after taxes for the first nine months amounted to EUR 69.7 million (Q1-Q3/2022: EUR 106.7 million). The company further announced, that after approximately 16 years on the Management Board of AMAG, Gerald Mayer has expressed his wish to terminate his Management Board contract prematurely by mutual agreement in order to pursue new professional challenges.
Amag: weekly performance: 0.35%

UBM: The building permit for the LeopoldQuartier Office was received on 17 October. This office property is part of the LeopoldQuartier, Europe’s first urban quartier in timber construction which is currently under development by UBM. “The outstanding characteristics of the LeopoldQuartier Office include its climate-friendly timber construction and excellent location. Moreover, high-quality office space in Vienna has become extremely rare“, explained UBM-CEO Thomas G. Winkler, “and this building permit gives the property a unique selling point – and that for a longer period of time.“
UBM: weekly performance: -0.98%

Semperit: For the second time, the Semperit Group has received the highest platinum award in the EcoVadis rating for sustainability performance. This puts Semperit in the top one percent worldwide of more than 100,000 companies assessed by EcoVadis. Overall, Semperit achieved 78 out of 100 possible points (2022: 76 points).
Semperit: weekly performance: -3.29%
