DO & CO: Despite several lockdowns, increased legal restrictions for containment of the COVID-19 pandemic in several countries, and the dramatic depreciation of the Turkish lira, revenue of Catering company DO & CO increased to Euro 705.20 mn (+178%) in the business year 2021/2022. The positive trend also continues with regard to the result. At Euro 96.34 mn, DO & CO generated the highest EBITDA in its corporate history in the business year 2021/2022. The quickly implemented restructuring measures at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the focus on efficient internal processes, the acquisition of numerous new customers, as well as various government support measures made it possible to achieve this record result in a difficult market environment. The net profit amounts to Euro 11.00 mn (PY: Euro -38.33 mn) and is positive despite an impairment recognised on property, plant and equipment in Ukraine. Despite the strain resulting from the depreciation of the Turkish lira, cash and cash equivalents also increased to € 207.63m towards the end of the business year 2021/2022.
DO&CO: weekly performance: -0.58%

Wienerberger: As a company aware of its responsibility, the Wienerberger Group decided to sell its Russian operations on account of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. In recent weeks, Wienerberger has been working intensively on a sustainable solution in order to preserve the employees’ jobs and guarantee safety and stability for their families on site.  It was therefore agreed that the local management will take over the Russian business through a management buy-out. The parties decided not to disclose the purchase price. Further, the company announcd, that it took over the prefab brick wall business from Walzer, a construction company based in Lower Austria. With this transaction, the company is taking yet another step toward becoming a full-range provider of system solutions and further strengthening its leading position in this field. Together with the prefab brick wall segment of Walzer Bausysteme, Wienerberger also takes over the complete production site at Kirchberg am Wagram (Lower Austria) and its entire workforce.

ams Osram: ams Osram, a global leader in optical solutions, announced today the agreement to sell the Digital Systems business in Europe and Asia to Inventronics, a global supplier of LED drivers. ams OSRAM will continue to focus on the high technology semiconductor business, as well as automotive, entertainment and industry lamps business. The transaction represents a further milestone in the implementation of ams Osram’s strategy to focus on core technology areas in illumination, visualization and sensing, and to divest businesses that are not core to the company’s strategy. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.
