21st Austria weekly - Porr, S Immo, KapschTrafficCom (28/04/2022)

Porr: Despite a challenging market environment in 2021, Asutrian based construction group Porr has had a very good year. The high order backlog of Euro 7.8 bn, production output of Euro 5.7 bn and EBT of Euro 85.4m have not only surpassed the levels of the previous year, but also the pre-crisis level of 2019. Porr is thereby ideally positioned – also thanks to its strategy Green and Lean. “The market environment in 2021 was far from easy for the construction industry, characterised as it was by supply bottlenecks and cost hikes. In these challenging circumstances, Porr has been able to hold its own very well thanks to its strong market position”, said CEO Karl-Heinz Strauss. “We delivered – accepting orders selectively and increasing operational efficiency has allowed us to achieve excellent results”.
Porr: weekly performance: -1.47%

S Immo
: Results from property valuation that were clearly positive in all regions and a record profit for the period and earnings per share confirm the steep upward trajectory of the listed real estate investment company S Immo AG. Due to the aforementioned effects, the profit for the period more than quadrupled in annual comparison and reached the best level recorded in the company’s history at Euro 230.6 mn (2020: Euro 56.9 mn). Bruno Ettenauer, CEO of S Immo, commented: “Despite the challenges presented in 2021 above all by the takeover offer from Immofinanz and the continued pandemic, we resumed our growth and were back at pre-crisis levels at the halfway point of the year. Our multi-asset approach and focus on holding properties over longer periods proved their worth, and our total return saw double-digit growth. We intend to continue on this successful course in 2022.”
S Immo: weekly performance: -0.22%

KapschTrafficCom: Within just a few months the highways and tunnels of the Vias del Nus concession have registered over 300,000 vehicles. Stretching over 157 kilometers, the Vias del Nus highway network connects Colombia's second largest city Medellin and its 2.5 million inhabitants with the eastern parts of the Antioquia region. The intelligent transportation system used by the concession provides safety and improved mobility for road users. This also helps the tourism, agricultural and transportation sectors of the surrounding municipalities, as the roadway connects the region to more populated areas of the country. "From December 4 to date, the operation has been impeccable. More than 300,000 vehicles have passed through and there have been no incidents, with the exception of a couple of stranded vehicles that have been attended to immediately, so we are very satisfied," says Ricardo López Lombana, General Manager of Vinus. It is estimated that vehicle circulation through the concession's La Quiebra tunnels has increased by 60% since the system was implemented, positively impacting the region's economy.
Kapsch TrafficCom: weekly performance: -1.90%
