21st Austria weekly - FACC, AT&S (30/12/2021)

02.01.2022

FACC: The expected one-off effects on the financial and earnings development of the Group due to the ruling of a London arbitration court in connection with claims of a supplier required an adjustment of the contractual terms of the existing syndicated loan (total volume Euro 285 mn distributed among seven banks, maturity until August 29th, 2023). The focus was on the financial covenant net financial debt/EBITDA, which is tested every six months and was last adjusted by an amendment agreement on December 18th, 2020 as a result of the Corona crisis. In the consensual negotiations, an adjustment of the covenant calculation (covenant calculation adaptation) and adjustments to the covenant itself (covenant reset) were agreed for the next test dates. As of the test date June 30th, 2023, FACC will return to the originally agreed covenant of net financial debt/EBITDA.

AT&SSteadySense, a Styria-based medical technology company, offers a smart patch that continuously measures the body temperature of its users without disturbing their everyday life. The adhesive patch is applied below the arm and is activated via an app on the smartphone. Temperature measurements at five-minute intervals create a continuous curve which shows the body temperature over the measuring period. The data are saved by the patch and can be retrieved through the app at any time. A flexible miniaturised electronic system featuring sensors and communication chips supplied by AT&S is used at the heart of the flexible patch. The know-how of the printed circuit board manufacturer in flexible electronics and medical technology is opening up new paths in capturing health data.
