21st Austria weekly - Lenzing, Polytec, Semperit, ams, FACC (06/11/2020)

Lenzing: The Lenzing Group, a leading company in the area of wood-based specialty fibers, celebrates another milestone on the way to making the textile and apparel industry more sustainable and transparent. Since 2019, Lenzing has been using the blockchain technology powered by the Hong Kong start-up TextileGenesisTM to ensure the traceability of textiles from fiber to production and distribution. After several successful pilot projects, the digital platform know was launched for TencelTM and LenzingTM EcoveroTM branded fibers. The platform provides customers and partners as well as consumers with an overview across the entire textile supply chain.
Lenzing: weekly performance: 8.67%

Semperit: Semperit AG Holding has again increased its outlook. The CoViD pandemic continues to accelerate and has an even more positive impact on demand and prices of medical products for the rest of the year than expected in September. Against this background and on the condition of the uninterrupted availability of raw materials, it can be assumed based on current figures that the Semperit Group’s EBITDA for the full year will amount to Euro 200.0 to 225.0 mn, thus exceeding the previous year’s value (2019: Euro 67.8 mn) even more clearly than assumed in September (previous forecast: Euro 165.0 to 200.0 mn). Accordingly, EBIT of the Semperit Group for the full year 2020 will be between Euro 230.0 and 255.0 mn (EBIT forecast in September 2020: Euro 195.0 to 230.0 mn; EBIT 2019: Euro –16.5 mn).
Semperit: weekly performance: 7.73%

ams: ams, a leading worldwide supplier of high performance sensor solutions, reports third quarter ams revenues nof USD 1,428 mn, up 192% sequentially from the second quarter and 111% up nominally compared to the same quarter 2019 due to consolidation effects. The adjusted group result from operations (EBIT) for the third quarter was USD 60 mn or 4% of revenues, decreasing from USD 187 mn for the ams business only in the same period 2019. In the ams business, the adjusted result from operations (EBIT) for the third quarter was USD 128 million or 23% of revenues (excluding acquisition-related, one-time restructuring and share-based compensation costs) which was towards the top end of the published expectation range for ams. The company  expects strong fourth quarter revenues for the ams business of USD 650-690 mn, up 19% sequentially and up 2% year-on-year at the midpoint. ams also expects profitability in the fourth quarter to increase meaningfully quarter-on-quarter for the ams business resulting in an expected ams adjusted operating (EBIT) margin of 24-27%.
AMS: weekly performance: 7.75%

Polytec: The consolidated sales revenues of the Polytec Group, developer and manufacturer of high-quality plastic components, fell by 19.3% to Euro 379.4 min (Q1-Q3 2019: Euro 470.3 mn). A sizeable decline in sales revenues was evident in all three market areas. In the first three quarters of 2020, Polytec  EBITDA amounted to Euro 20.6 mn (Q1-Q3 2019: Euro 47.8 mn). EBIT totalled minus Euro 6.2 mn (Q1-Q3 2019: Euro 22.2 mn), which equated to an EBIT margin of minus 1.6% (Q1-Q3 2019: 4.7%). Group net profit stood at minus Euro 10.4 mn (Q1-Q3 2019: 14.1 mn). In view of the gradual improvement in the business trend since June 2020, the group management remains cautiously optimistic with regard to the final quarter of the year.
Polytec Group: weekly performance: 9.62%

FACC: FACC, leading aerospace company in design, development and production of aerospace technologies and advanced aircraft lightweight systems, said, that in mid-2018, Airbus commissioned FACC to develop and produce the entrance area of the Airspace cabin for the A320 models. After an intensive development phase, the first article parts have now been delivered to Airbus in Hamburg. Immediately after the first delivery, FACC will start the ramp-up of serial production.
FACC: weekly performance: 22.34%
