EVN: EnBW Trust e.V. is selling its 28.35% shareholding, held in trust for EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG, in the Austrian energy and environmental services company EVN AG. The purchaser is Wiener Stadtwerke GmbH. “We have taken the opportunity to exit our indirect stake in EVN on financially attractive terms. The sale is also in line with the divestment targets under our 2020 Strategy and the related portfolio transformation,” explained EnBW CFO Thomas Kusterer. “We are pleased to have found a buyer, in Wiener Stadtwerke, that is based in the region and wishes to invest in EVN for the long term. This is a good basis for EVN’s future,” Kusterer added. For Wiener Stadtwerke, the purchase of the shareholding in EVN is “an attractive investment opportunity in a rock-solid Austrian company”, said CEO Martin Krajcsir. Deputy CEO Peter Weinelt added: “We are pleased to be a shareholder in EVN going forward and are optimistic for the positive performance of our investment.” Wiener Stadtwerke and EnBW Trust e.V. agreed not to disclose details of the purchase agreement. The transaction does not affect the longstanding involvement in Energieallianz Austria, in which Wiener Stadtwerke subsidiary Wien Energie and EVN each hold 45%.
EVN: weekly performance: 0.26%

ams: ams makes it easier for OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to implement popular 3D features by launching the Merano Hybrid, a module which integrates all the electrical and optical components of an infrared (IR) flood illuminator as well as a VCSEL driver into a single, compact package. This is the latest in a series of ongoing innovations and portfolio extensions serving the market needs of ams’ customers around the world, and an example of ams’ technology leadership in 3D illumination. The highly power-efficient 2W Merano-Hybrid is suitable for use in the latest 3D sensing technologies, including the Time-of-Flight and Structured Light methods. Applications such as face recognition, augmented reality, 3D object scanning and 3D image rendering, as well as other industrial and automotive applications, will benefit from use of the Merano Hybrid. Lukas Steinmann, Vice President & General Manager of the business line 3D Sensing Modules & Solutions at ams, said: “Benefiting from the unique expertise of ams in advanced opto-electronics technology, the Merano Hybrid module is the world’s smallest IR flood illuminator system with VCSEL driver integrated in volume production. Now mobile phone manufacturers can substantially reduce development time and risk of 3D features, and rely on the verified, documented performance characteristics of this commercial off-the-shelf solution for flood illumination.”
AMS: weekly performance: -10.20%
