21st Austria weekly - Amag, Lenzing, EVN (27/02/2020)

01.03.2020

Amag: Amag Austria Metall AG reported a reduction in revenues by 3 % to Euro 1,066.0 mn. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) grew year-on-year from Euro 141.0 mn to Euro 143.0 mn. Main reasons for the increase included lower raw material and energy costs as well as higher shipment volumes. As a result, the effect on earnings from the lower price level was more than offset. With an operating result (EBIT) of Euro 61.1 mn, the previous year's result (2018: Euro 60.6 mn) was also slightly exceeded for the reasons already described. Net income after taxes reduced from Euro 44.5 mn to Euro 38.6 mn due to a less favourable net financial result as well as higher income taxes.  Gerald Mayer, CEO of AMAG comments: "Our very good operating earnings and cash flow trends confirm the position we have adopted - with our broadly diversified product portfolio, a high proportion of specialty products and our focus on aluminium recycling."
The Management Board will propose to the Shareholders' Annual General Meeting a year-on-year unchanged dividend of Euro 1.20 per share.
Amag: weekly performance: -10.84%

Lenzing: The Management Board of Lenzing AG, a leading manufacturer of specialty fibers made from the renewable raw material wood, has resolved to propose to the Annual General Meeting a dividend of Euro 1.00 for the 2019 financial year (vs. 3,0 Euro + 2,0 Euro special dividend for 2018).
Lenzing: weekly performance: -11.18%

EVN: Revenue recorded by the utilities group EVN Group declined by 3.3% year-on-year to Euro 576.2 mn in the first quarter of 2019/20. This development resulted, above all, from a reduction in thermal generation and in the Networks Segment. Contrasting factors included the increase in energy revenue in Bulgaria and higher revenue from the international project business. EBIT amounted to Euro 118.8 mn in the first quarter of 2019/20 (previous year: Euro 97.4 mn). Financial results improved to Euro –10.7 mn (previous year: Euro –15.5 mn). Group net result for the period totalled Euro 82.9 mn, which represents a year-on-year increase of 40.3%.
EVN: weekly performance: -14.16%
