21st Austria weekly - Polytec, Austrian Post (18/01/2019)

20.01.2019

Polytec: Polytec Group, a leading developer and manufacturer of high-quality plastic parts, with 28 sites and over 4,500 employees worldwide, achieved sales revenues of approximately Euro 637 mn. As compared to the preceding year, this constitutes a reduction of roughly 6%. Provisional EBITDA amounts to around Euro 67 mn and as opposed to the previous year is therefore some 19% lower, while the EBITDA margin stands at approximately 10.3% (2017: 12.2%). In accordance with these preliminary figures, EBIT is down by about Euro 15 mn at around Euro 40 mn and corresponds with an EBIT margin of roughly 6.2% (2017: 8.1%). The main reasons for this decline in results over the preceding year were reductions in call-offs and sales losses owing to the cut in diesel car production and the transition to the EU’s WLTP exhaust gas and fuel consumption regulation, which came into force in September 2018. Results were furthered impacted by price increases for raw materials and energy.
Polytec: weekly performance: -4.81%

Austrian Post: Austrian Post reported a slight revenue increase for the previous. The (preliminary) Group revenue in 2018 was up 1.0% to Euro 1,958 mn despite the difficult market environment. Revenue growth of +11.5% in the Parcel & Logistics Division to Euro 552 mn compensated for the revenue decline in the Mail & Branch Network Division (-2.5% to Euro 1,412 mn). As a result of the good development, the company confirms its positive outlook for 2019. Our focus for 2019 will be on further developing our core business. We want to further expand our service and quality leadership”, CEO Georg Pölzl states.
Österreichische Post: weekly performance: 2.43%
