RHI Magnesita: RHI Magnesita, a leading supplier of high-grade refractory products, announced that Ian Botha, currently CFO of Anglo American Platinum,  has been nominated as its new CFO and Finance Director for appointment in the 2019 Annual General Meeting. Ian will join our Company on 1 April 2019. Commenting on this announcement, Stefan Borgas, the CEO of RHI Magnesita said: “Ian has enjoyed a highly successful international career with Anglo American in the related mining and metals industry, latterly as CFO of Anglo Platinum. His significant experience in finance & accounting, investor relations and governance, as well as his excellent business acumen and track record in financial and performance improvements makes him an ideal appointment. Additionally, his fit with RHI Magnesita’s management culture and complementarity with our Company’s top leadership team further adds to Ian’s credentials”.

OMV: Austrian oil and gas company OMV presented the cornerstone for an innovative future, namely the ReOil used plastics recycling facility. The pilot plant uses a thermo-chemical process to produce synthetic crude from plastic waste. Manfred Leitner, OMV Executive Board member for Downstream: “ This technology allows us to use a barrel of oil multiple times. This means that less plastic is incinerated and greenhouse gases are reduced. The ReOil method thereby contributes to the OMV sustainability goals related to CO2 efficiency”. OMV invested around Euro 10 mn in the project as a whole, with the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) subsidizing 10% of the costs. "By continuously investing in the future, OMV's Schwechat refinery has been able to succeed for 60 years now. The opening of the innovative ReOil plant will allow OMV to continue along this successful path in addition to strengthening Austria as a business and investment location”, said Margarete Schramböck, Austria’s Minister of Economic Affairs.

Immofinanz: Austrian real estate company Immofinanz has received the relevant anti-trust approvals for the purchase of 19,499,437 bearer shares in S Immo AG, which represent an investment of roughly 29.14%. Thus, the closing of the transaction took place on Friday, 21 September 2018 and the acquired S Immo shares were formally transferred to Immofinanz. The purchase price of approximately Euro 390.0 mn was financed internally from liquid funds and bank financing of Euro 140.0 mn, Immofinanz announced.
