21st Austria weekly - Post, Zumtobel (11/11/2022)

13.11.2022

Austrian Post: The first nine months of 2022 for Austrian Post were impacted by challenging conditions. International value chain disruptions have put an upward pressure on costs, which was further intensified by the war in Ukraine and currently makes an economic downturn very likely. Group revenue in the first three quarters of 2022 totalled Euro 1,815.9 mn (–1.0 %), whereas third-quarter revenue growth was up by 5.7 % year-on-year. EBIT declined by 13.0 % year-on-year from Euro 144.0 mn to Euro 125.3 mn. In line with current estimates, the company assumes that short-term visibility is sufficient provided and expects revenue for the full year 2022 to be at the level of Euro 2.5 bn generated in 2021. The company expects earnings to be at least at the mid-point of the previously indicated range (2021 EBIT:  205 mn; 2020 EBIT: 161 mn).
Österreichische Post: weekly performance: 13.86%

Zumtobel: Lightning group Zumtobel recorded revenues in the first half of the year of Euro 627.8 mn, which were 10.6% above the prior year period. EBIT totalled Euro 50.8 million, which represents an EBIT margin of 8.1% (H1 2021/22: Euro 35.0 mn; EBIT margin 6.2%). This development resulted above all – besides a better availability of components and, in part, higher sales volumes – from higher selling prices and positive FX effects, the company stated. Furthermore, the net profit for the period increased by 46.8% to Euro 33.7 mn. The Management Board of the Zumtobel Group increased full year guidance and is now expecting a revenue growth of 4% to 8% (previously: 3% to 6%) and an EBIT margin of 4% to 6% (previously: 4% to 5%) for the 2022/23 financial year.
Zumtobel: weekly performance: 10.21%
