21st Austria weekly - Semperit, Verbund, Addiko, Lenzing (09/03/2022)

13.03.2022

Verbund: Austrian utility company Verbund announces the acquisition of 70% of four wind farms and one photovoltaic plant developed by Capital Energy in Spain. The four wind and one PV project companies, respectively, will have a total capacity of 171 MW and will consist of four windfarms totalling to 151 MW, as well as one solar plant with an installed capacity of 20 MWp. The projects are currently under construction and will be commissioned gradually between quarter 2/2022 and quarter 1/2023. In addition, three PV hybridization projects in the south of Spain totalling 80 MW are under development. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price or further details of the transaction.
Verbund: weekly performance: 4.21%

Semperit: Due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the related restrictive measures and imponderables, the Semperit Group expects material bottlenecks as well as significant price increases for raw materials, intermediate goods, energy and transport services. In addition, geopolitical and market-related developments will possibly lead to frictions in production at the European sites and subsequently to delivery delays and constraints. Against this background, the 2022 annual result of the Semperit Group is expected to be significantly below average market expectations (currently at an EBITDA of Euro 100-120 mn). The exact financial impact on the Semperit Group's expected annual result cannot be estimated at this point in time.
Semperit: weekly performance: -11.74%

Lenzing: The Supervisory Board of fibers company Lenzing AG has appointed Stephan Sielaff as the new CEO effective from April 01, 2022. He succeeds Cord Prinzhorn, who took over as interim CEO in the fourth quarter of 2021.
Lenzing: weekly performance: 1.47%

Addiko: Addiko bank improved net banking income in 2021 by Euro 1.9 mn to Euro 236.3 mn (YE20: Euro 234.5 mn) mainly driven by higher net interest income and strong net fee and com- mission income in the segments Consumer and SME, which was partially neutralised by the accelerated reduction in non-focus business, driven by reduced net interest income in non-focus. The net interest income decreased by -2.9% to Euro 169.5 mn. For 2021, Addiko posted a profit of Euro 13.6 mn supported by a solid operating performance.
Addiko Bank: weekly performance: 1.80%
