Frequentis: The Polish Armed Forces selected Frequentis to upgrade communication for the Polish air defence centre in order to support the operational activities of air search and rescue groups. Frequentis will upgrade and expand the existing air defence voice communication system (VCS) and include a red/black extension, among other enhanced functionalities for command, guidance and air search and rescue operations. The project will be implemented in six phases up until December 2022 and will comprise system modifications including a Red/Black extension (secured / unsecured communication).

Lenzing: Revenue of fibers producer Lenzing declined by 22.4 percent to Euro 1.63 bn in 2020. The earnings development essentially reflects the decline in revenue, but was supported by measures for structural earnings improvements in all regions. EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization) fell by 39.9 percent to Euro 196.6 mn. The EBITDA margin decreased from 15.5 percent to 12 percent. Net profit/loss for the year amounted to Euro minus 10.6 mn (2019: Euro 114.9 mn). For 2021 the Lenzing Group expects the operating result to develop at a similar level in 2021 as in the pre-crisis year 2019.

CA Immo: In an off market deal, Austrian real estate company CA Immo has signed and closed the acquisition of ‘Pohlstrasse 20’, a modern office building located in the prime Potsdamer Platz submarket in central Berlin. The property totals around 7,800 sqm lettable space and is fully let to high quality tenants such as Thyssen Krupp Elevator and Bombardier. The purchase price of Euro 47.35 mn reflects a day one gross initial yield of 2.7 % on in place gross rental income of Euro 1.3 mn. With an average in place office rent of c. Euro 12.50/sqm, material rental reversion is expected to deliver in excess of a 5.5 % gross yield once stabilized.

Vienna Airport: The pandemic-related decline in passenger traffic of Flughafen Wien AG (Vienna Airport) is continuing. In the month of February 2021, passenger volume in the Flughafen Wien Group (Vienna Airport, Malta Airport and Kosice Airport) amounted to 188,101 travellers, comprising a year-on-year decline of 92.4% from the level of February 2020. Vienna Airport registered a drop of 92.1% to 158,786 passengers.

Marinomed: Marinomed Biotech AG, a globally operating biopharmaceutical company, announces that the first patients have been treated in a Phase II clinical trial evaluating Tacrosolv eye drops in allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, i.e. hay fever affecting both the eyes and nose. The clinical trial is running at the Vienna Challenge Chamber (Austria) to assess safety and efficacy of two different dosages of Tacrosolv. The ongoing randomized, placebo controlled, crossover, double-blind, single site Phase II clinical trial is testing Tacrosolv in adult subjects who are suffering from grass pollen induced allergic rhinoconjunctivitis.
